Lara Favelle has been practicing yoga since 1999 and has been a devotee of the Iyengar system since 2002
After teaching for several years around the Byron Bay region in northern NSW, Lara commenced a new journey with a move to regional WA. Here she successfully ran a small yoga school until 2013 when she moved to Busselton.
Lara is an Intermediate Junior 1 Iyengar yoga teacher.
Like all Iyengar yoga teachers, Lara’s teaching is characterised by the sequencing of asanas towards a desired result guided by the Yoga Sutras of Patangali.
Concentrating on smooth even breath, postural alignment and internal stability, Lara teaches in a way that draws the student to begin to integrate the external physcial body with the internal subtle environment.

Lara attends the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune, India every other year to maintain a connection to the source of the yoga she teaches.

As well as trips to India Lara attends Professional Development with Alan Goode at Yoga Mandir in Canberra.

This is the certification mark of an Iyengar yoga teacher.

When you see this mark you  know that a yoga teacher has undergone several years of training with a Senior Iyengar Yoga Teacher and  passed a minimum two levels of independent assessment.
The symbol also means that the yoga teacher maintains their connection to the Iyengar Association and regularly attends professional development
